The expectations of the Estimator Role will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and Solicit Sales leads, based on estimated leads
  • Participate and embrace Eastman Plumbing Proactive Project Planning Process
  • Engage and embrace the coordination, planning on all Estimated Projects.
  • Copying and distribution of tender, Issued for Projects.
  • Filing of project, and contract documents and achieving of old projects.
  • Organize and obtain information and specifications from our clients for distribution
  • Management and distribution of project related documents.
  • Track and update project schedules as required.
  • Support the project manager and project team with any specific directed actions.
  • Participate in our company operational meetings such as Project Delivery meetings, staff meetings, Project Status review meetings etc…
  • Participate in training seminars and courses on an ongoing basis. The cost of these courses will either be covered or will be reimbursed.
  • Create tender invites, upload and manage the tender documents to all subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
  • Send out requests for pricing for equipment, fixtures and materials, and follow up and obtain prices prior to tender closing deadlines.
  • As required participate in project specific meetings, site walk through’s, and site visits.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry related seminars, and courses as scheduled and approved by management
  • The candidate must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle to get to work

Ideal Qualifications, Requirements & Education

  • Post-Secondary Education, Business, Sales/Marketing, Pluming/Contracting
  • Related Plumbing/Construction experience is preferred (3 to 5 years)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Industry Project Management Software
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and be self-motivated
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skill
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
